Long ago in a small, far away village, there was a place known as the House of a 1000 Mirrors. A small happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house. He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could. To his great surprise he found himself staring at 1000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his. He smiled a great smile and was answered with 1000 great smiles just as warm and friendly. As he left the House he thought to himself “This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often.”

In the same village another little dog who was not quite as happy as the first one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door. When he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him he growled at them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him. As he left he thought to himself, “That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again.”

All the faces in the world are mirrors. What kind of reflections do you see in the faces of the people you meet? What reflection do others see when they look at you?

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don’t see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you’ve ever had.

The last few days, my hard disk died so… I cant update my blog. I dunno, it took them almost a week to find me a new one. I’ve lost all my stuff which means, I have to re-do the web design which I was working on. 😛 I hate doing that. Anyway, at least, I wont feel bored anymore.

One of my ex-classmates is getting married this Saturday but too bad I cant attend her wedding coz I have to attend a pre-marriage talk. 😛 I know it’s going to be a loooooong day but we really have to get the cert if we’re to be married in a church.

I don’t really watch Sailor Moon though so I dont know who Queen Of Serenity is. Anyway, I love Neo. Can’t wait for the “The Matrix Revolution” this Nov (if I’m not mistaken). By the way, I really realy really love going to the movies and believe it or not, I even collected the movie tickets. Recently, i went to watch “The Medallion” and “The Pirates of the Carribean”. Wowwww!!! Pirates of The Carribean is really a great movie. I think I’ll buy the vcd for that movie so that I can watch it over and over again :-).

I love inspirational stories very much – especially the sad ones. The story below is one of my favorites.

The Father’s Gift

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautifully wrapped gift box.

Curious, and somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man’s name embossed in gold. Angry, he rose his voice to his father and said “with all your money, you give me a Bible?” and stormed out of the house.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realised his father very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day.

Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.

When he arrived at his father’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father’s important papers and saw the still gift-wrapped Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt.7:11, “And if ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,how much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in Heaven, give to those who ask Him?”

As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words PAID IN FULL.

I can foresee that today is going to be a tough day. Can u believe it? I’ve just arrived at the office and I haven’t even turn on my pc yet, that lady – the prof’s PA – called. She’s was like reminding me that i’ve promised her to send someone to look into her boss machine. Well, a few things that I really hate about this place is that nobody is updating u on what’s going on. After two days being chased by that lady, then only I know that the prof’s IP has been blocked! How come nobody informed me about this before? Now, what am i going to say if she calls up again? And one more thing, she – i mean the person who is supposed to answer the phone- doesn’t want to answer the phone. Excuse me!!! I’m new here, how can u expect me to be the help desk if I dont even know the head and tail of all this mess! People will know my name and if anything goes wrong, fingers will be pointing at me. HELP!!!

After a few days of browsing and surfing, looking for websites dedicated to blog skin, I finnaly manage to change the look of my blog. Now it looks much better. I’m not saying that it looks really cool, still dull of course but much better than before. Now, I think I’d better start looking for cute images to go with my blue and pink theme.
