I’m supposed to post this 2 days ago, but I was so bz doing nothing.. 🙂 who knows doing nothing can be so tiring, kan? Asi ka if I want to do 2 challenges today? mangkali tidak asi kan..
so, here’s my pic with my little family.. hubby, dotter, son & I during our recent cuti-cuti malaysia.
And another one with my parents, my siblings and my dead grandmother, taken 10 years ago… Look at me.. I’m so skinny.. *sigh*
And another classic one hehe… wah, bersungguh-sungguh mempost gambar duuudulu… Good thing there’s a date stamp on this photo! Taken 16 years ago… My aunties are sooo gonna kill me hehe..
This is going to be hard.. I guess I’m just lucky no one has hurt me recently.. I used to get pissed off easily but lately, I’ve been okay with everyone so, no, I wasn’t seriously hurt recently.
But in order to complete this Day 13 challenge, I NEED to write a letter to someone. Ok, how about a letter to MCMC for blocking file sharing websites?? Jangannnn… you don’t want to do that… Lagipun, u have the workaround for that problem what…
Hmmmm…. maybe I’ll write to my neighbour la.
Dear Neighbour,
I’m sure you have noticed that our poorly dog has finally died and that we have to put the nice yellow dog feeder outside our gate to put our leftovers so your [stray] dogs can feast on them. Yes, we are kind people, but that doesn’t mean you can steal the dog feeder and put them under your stairs!
I can see the bright yellow color clearly from my house, you know? So, please dear neighbour… can you return the yellow dog feeder to its rightful place? We didn’t get it for free, we bought it.
I seriously don’t remember how I found out about blogger – but I do remember why I made one.
I started blogging back in 2001, 10 years ago… wahhh.. I didn’t even realize I’ve been blogging for a decade! I created my first blog on Diaryland.com. The site still exist, but I have forgotten my username & password long ago. I started blogging on Blogger in 2003 and I recently switched to wordpress because I’ve purchased my own domain & hosting and I decided that I should fully utilize them.
I don’t really have one particular song that I listened to when I’m Happy, Sad, Bored, Hyped, Mad… but I love music, especially acoustic and a little of pop country. I love Daughtry, Firehouse, The Fray, Taylor Swift, P!nk, Avril Lavigne, Paramore.. just to name a few la..
Anyway, from time to time, I do have a favorite song and I can listen to that song over and over again for a few days. Right now, my national anthem is The Story, Callie Torres version. Ya la.. I know Callie Torres is not even a real person but I prefer her version to Sara Ramirez [yup, she played Callie Torres] or to the original singer which is Brandi Carlile if I’m not mistaken.

All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I’ve been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don’t mean anything
When you’ve got no one to tell them to
It’s true, I was made for you
I climbed across the mountaintops
Travel across the ocean blue
I cross over lines and I broke all the rules
And baby I broke them all for you
Oh because even when I was flat broke
You made me feel like a million bucks
You do, I was made for you
You see the smile that’s on my mouth
It’s hiding the words that don’t come out
All of the friends who think that I’m blessed
They don’t know I’m in this mess
No they don’t know who I really am
And they don’t know what I’ve been through
Like you do, and I was made for you
All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I’ve been
And how I got to where I am
Oh but these stories don’t mean anything
When you’ve got no one to tell them to
It’s true, I was made for you
Oh yeah, and it’s true that I was made for you
My short term goal for the month of April is to survive April.
Why?
I’m not sure why but April this year seems to be very tough, challenging and not to mention, very very very busy career-wise for me. Thank God, come May, I’ll be off for my so-called annual family vacation and I’m so so so looking forward to this trip. It’s nowhere interesting btw, but still, it is a relief to be able to escape from my day to day job and enjoy quality time with my family even if it’s only for a few days..
Here I am on my 7th Day Challenge. In today’s challenge, I’m supposed to post a picture of someone or something that has the biggest impact on me. Again, this challenge was a bit delayed because I’m not really sure what ‘something’ or who’s the ‘someone’ that ‘has the biggest impact on me’.
Now, before i carry on, I’d like to let you ppl know that I had an interesting day this morning. I saw something very inspiring, very uplifting and this indirectly had made me realize who are the ‘someone’ important in my life – those special ‘someone’ that have made a big impact on me [and hubby too, i believe].
These two are my special someone. I believe all mothers would agree with me that when our baby had first arrived in our lives, as ready as we may have thought we were back then, it still felt as if our world has been turned upside down, rotated 180°. I remembered there was this one time when I asked my hubby a few weeks after Ellone was born, “When will our lives be back to normal again?” to which hubby replied, “Honey, THIS is our normal lives now”.
Ok, I guess Mission Accomplished again, but I’m not done yet 😀
Now I’d like to share the ‘something inspirational’ i mentioned earlier.
This morning, we went to Public Bank for their Roadshow. There was a Coloring & Art&Craft Contest which Ellone took part and while the kids are doing the contest, the parents are introduced to their insurance product related to children’s education. In his intro, the speaker said something about us wanting the best for our children. He then showed a video, which is also available in youtube about a father who took his physically disabled son to compete in Ironman Triathlon, one of the toughest triathlons probably in the world!
Ok, maybe some of you had already seen this video but this was my 1st time watching it and it moved me so much it even brought tears to my eyes. Lucky the lights were dimmed 😀
It shows just how much the father loves his son and he would do everything to fulfill his son’s wish – he wanted to give the best to his son and mind you, the dad is not young anymore owh..
I later found out that this father and son are Dick & Rick Hoyt and together, they are known as Team Hoyt. Rick was diagnosed as a spastic quadriplegic with cerebral palsy and he’s not able to walk or speak. A machine was built for Rick to help him to communicate and with the help of that machine, they learnt that Rick loves sports. Rick told his dad that he wishes to compete in a race and soon, they began taking parts in races, marathons, duathlons and triathlons. Very very inspiring…
Both my geng bas sekolah who got me started on this game has successfully completed their challenges. As for me… i’m progressing, albeit very slowly..
So, in today’s challenge, I’m supposed to talk about my favourite superhero and i need to explain the whys.
My favourite superhero is.. Megamind!
What? No? Owh.. he’s a villain pula tu kan?? heheheh.. sorry..
ok, let’s try this again. My favourite superhero is Joker (from Batman : The Dark Knight) 😀
Owh, I’m sorry.. he’s a villain too..
Owh my goodness.. why is this so hard! Well, the truth is, I don’t really like the good guys because you know they will always win in the end. Too predictable!
Let’s take Ultraman for example. No matter how big, ugly, how notorious, how monstrous, how terrifying the monster is, Ultraman prevailed. Walaupun hampir2 kecundang.. the big lampung on his chest will always go ting!ting!ting! in the end. Bunyi kemenangan laitu…
But in order to accomplish this Day 6 challenge, I really need to favor a Superhero. Maka dengan ini, saya mengisytiharkan, my favourite superhero is…..
Hehehehe… ya la.. I knowww!!! it’s a lame classic choice!
Ei, but superman is very smart he can fool you without even trying to, u know? I mean, how can people NOT recognize him when he puts on his glasses and wears civilians clothes? See what I mean?? other superheroes wear masks, full-body leathery suits, change colours, etc etc but superman? what he did was just tuck his hook fringe back in place, put on his glasses and wear baju officeboy and voila!! he became Clark Kent, the nobody! He can even get away with wearing his sansut on the outside! isn’t that amazing???? How can you not like Superman?
On a different note, notice the menu on my banner? I have set up a photo gallery (Captured Memories) using the Facebook Photo Fetcher plugin. Easy-peasy! Took me only about 15 minutes. All these photos are fetched from my FB account and I can even select which Album to display. Totally loving it! Plugins like this made me glad I switched to WP.
Owh, and back to our Day 6 Challenge, I guess I can say : Mission Accomplished!
Ok, first of all, the pic that u’re about to see was not my 1st choice.. BUT since this challenge has been put on hold for quite a while, I decided – since I already have this pic in my PC and if you’re an avid follower, u may notice that this pic was already up in this blog about a year before – that I should just use this pic and get this challenge over and done with.
so here’s the lucky-pick pic 😀
My family, my two friends Cindy Laila & Snowy and I hehehe…
Oya, I’m supposed to tell where this ‘somewhere’ is bah kan? Well, di belakang rumah saya la.. hehehehehe…
This is my worst habit. It’s the root of all the other evil and bad habits that I have. I know, it’s always a choice, but i guess I’m just lazy – always holding things up until the very last minute.
