Hahaha.. I know!

I’m only on my Day 9 whereas my 2 geng bas sekolah finished ages ago!

Anyway.. still struggling and I hope I can finish this 30 days challenge within this year hehe..

Ok, on to the challenge -> something i’m proud of in the past few days.

Scotty & Lauren made it to the final 2! Yippee!!!

I think I’m quite good at spotting talent owh hehehe.. kes perasan ni.. but I was never wrong in predicting AI winners since Carrie Underwood.. For this season, I did mention in this entry that Lauren Alaina is going to be in the final and in my previous post, I mentioned that Scotty may win this whole thing this year! I got the top twos right, kan?

And I still think Scotty will be the next American Idol.

Why?

Let’s look at the trend for the past 3 seasons. The best singer will always be the runner-up. Crystal Bowersox was the best last year, and she was the runner-up. Adam Lambert was the best singer in season 8, he was the runner up. David Archuleta was the favourite in season 7, but David Cook won. See??? The guy next door always win… Lauren is so talented, has a great voice and she can sing anything, no doubt she’ll always hit THE note, but Scotty? He’s the boy next door! He’s the kind of guy that Moms all around the world would approve of being their daughter’s boyfriend 😀 Like Beyonce said, he’s just so charming!

So, I’m rooting for Scotty. If Lauren wins this year, then it would be my 1st wrong prediction since Carrie Underwood… and I’ll take that.

The internet was down the whole morning so Little Bird didn’t get the chance to relay it’s news for me sooner.

As we all know, Pia was sent home.

Shocking!

I have already put Pia as one of the Top 4 in the Pearlie White contest so there goes my chance of winning tickets to the finals! 😀 macam lah bah dapat kan?

I personally think, Pia was eliminated because everyone thought everyone else are going to vote for her. She gave the best performance last night so it’s no surprise if people thought she’s going to get a lot of votes.

OR….

maybe the truth is that she was already nabbed by some big recording company – why waste time competing in this little singing competition? who knows, kan?

I’m guessing, Scotty McCreery is going to win this whole thing this year. To early to tell, I know, but now that Pia is gone, he might have a chance…

My short term goal for the month of April is to survive April.

Why?

I’m not sure why but April this year seems to be very tough, challenging and not to mention, very very very busy career-wise for me. Thank God, come May, I’ll be off for my so-called annual family vacation and I’m so so so looking forward to this trip. It’s nowhere interesting btw, but still, it is a relief to be able to escape from my day to day job and enjoy quality time with my family even if it’s only for a few days..

So, wake me up when April ends ya…

The judges used the Save last week, so 2 contestants with the least number of votes will be sent home today.

Thia Megia, Paul McDonald and Naima Adedapo are in the bottom three.

Paul was sent back to safety.

So it’s goodbye to Thia & Naima…

Hello people..

Here I am on my 7th Day Challenge. In today’s challenge, I’m supposed to post a picture of someone or something that has the biggest impact on me. Again, this challenge was a bit delayed because I’m not really sure what ‘something’ or who’s the ‘someone’ that ‘has the biggest impact on me’.

Now, before i carry on, I’d like to let you ppl know that I had an interesting day this morning. I saw something very inspiring, very uplifting and this indirectly had made me realize who are the ‘someone’ important in my life – those special ‘someone’ that have made a big impact on me [and hubby too, i believe].

These two are my special someone. I believe all mothers would agree with me that when our baby had first arrived in our lives, as ready as we may have thought we were back then, it still felt as if our world has been turned upside down, rotated 180°. I remembered there was this one time when I asked my hubby a few weeks after Ellone was born, “When will our lives be back to normal again?” to which hubby replied, “Honey, THIS is our normal lives now”.

Come to think of it, I have actually posted 20 things that change when you have a baby a few years ago. These sums up all the impacts they had on me 🙂

Ok, I guess Mission Accomplished again, but I’m not done yet 😀

Now I’d like to share the ‘something inspirational’ i mentioned earlier.

This morning, we went to Public Bank for their Roadshow. There was a Coloring & Art&Craft Contest which Ellone took part and while the kids are doing the contest, the parents are introduced to their insurance product related to children’s education. In his intro, the speaker said something about us wanting the best for our children. He then showed a video, which is also available in youtube about a father who took his physically disabled son to compete in Ironman Triathlon, one of the toughest triathlons probably in the world!

Ok, maybe some of you had already seen this video but this was my 1st time watching it and it moved me so much it even brought tears to my eyes. Lucky the lights were dimmed 😀

It shows just how much the father loves his son and he would do everything to fulfill his son’s wish – he wanted to give the best to his son and mind you, the dad is not young anymore owh..

I later found out that this father and son are Dick & Rick Hoyt and together, they are known as Team Hoyt. Rick was diagnosed as a spastic quadriplegic with cerebral palsy and he’s not able to walk or speak. A machine was built for Rick to help him to communicate and with the help of that machine, they learnt that Rick loves sports. Rick told his dad that he wishes to compete in a race and soon, they began taking parts in  races, marathons, duathlons and triathlons. Very very inspiring…

So, have you watched the clips yet?

Thia & Stefano made it another week.

Casey sang his audition song and the judges decided to use the SAVE.

There will be a double-elimination next week.

Mimi : Shocked! I thought Casey was one of America’s favourite!

Both my geng bas sekolah who got me started on this game has successfully completed their challenges. As for me… i’m progressing, albeit very slowly..

So, in today’s challenge, I’m supposed to talk about my favourite superhero and i need to explain the whys.

My favourite superhero is.. Megamind!

What? No? Owh.. he’s a villain pula tu kan?? heheheh.. sorry..

ok, let’s try this again. My favourite superhero is Joker (from Batman : The Dark Knight) 😀

Owh, I’m sorry.. he’s a villain too..

Owh my goodness.. why is this so hard! Well, the truth is, I don’t really like the good guys because you know they will always win in the end. Too predictable!

Let’s take Ultraman for example. No matter how big, ugly, how notorious, how monstrous, how terrifying the monster is, Ultraman prevailed. Walaupun hampir2 kecundang.. the big lampung on his chest will always go ting!ting!ting! in the end. Bunyi kemenangan laitu…

But in order to accomplish this Day 6 challenge, I really need to favor a Superhero. Maka dengan ini, saya mengisytiharkan, my favourite superhero is…..

Hehehehe… ya la.. I knowww!!! it’s a lame classic choice!

Ei, but superman is very smart he can fool you without even trying to, u know? I mean, how can people NOT recognize him when he puts on his glasses and wears civilians clothes? See what I mean?? other superheroes wear masks, full-body leathery suits, change colours, etc etc but superman? what he did was just tuck his hook fringe back in place, put on his glasses and wear baju officeboy and voila!! he became Clark Kent, the nobody! He can even get away with wearing his sansut on the outside! isn’t that amazing???? How can you not like Superman?

On a different note, notice the menu on my banner? I have set up a photo gallery (Captured Memories) using the Facebook Photo Fetcher plugin. Easy-peasy! Took me only about 15 minutes. All these photos are fetched from my FB account and I can even select which Album to display. Totally loving it! Plugins like this made me glad I switched to WP.

Owh, and back to our Day 6 Challenge, I guess I can say : Mission Accomplished!

Last Tuesday, while having lunch at 10:00 AM (the name of the restaurant ok, I’m not having lunch at PUKUL 10), i received an sms that says:

“CONGRATULATIONS! U hv won 3D/2N getaway to Equatorial Cameron Highland. To redeem, pls sign up to www.mybsn.com.my NOW! Call 0326888400 for info.”

At that time, since I was busy chatting and eating with my geng bas sekolah, I didn’t pay much attention to the SMS. Lagipun, I’ve had similar smses in the past and ALL of them were hoaxes.

After lunch, back at the office, I got a little curious so I re-read the sms. I noticed that it was sent from BSN’s sms number – u know, the same one that sent out TAC numbers when you want to do online transaction – so i got curiouser 😀 and i googled the exact sms. My google search returned only one hit, a recent entry by a blogger – in fact, the entry was only posted about an hour before. He claimed he has already contacted BSN and confirmed that the SMS is true!

Bah, me apa lagi.. I tried contacting BSN by phone, but couldn’t get through. I logged in to mybsn, there was nothing there. By then, I was already contemplating, to email or not to email. Sapa yg tidak mau 3D/2N getaway kan? Bah, so i sent out an email la enquiring about the sms kunu… I waited and waited and waited….

and waited some more, but no, there was no reply. So I thought, well, maybe I’m not the lucky one after all and decided to just forget about it.

Ermm… that concludes the story about the missed opportunity, right?

NO!!!!

Well, at 1st I thought that was it, that was the end of the 3D/2N story. So I went cuti-cuti-Malaysia – ing with my family to Kundasang and the 3D/2N sms never crossed my mind. Came back from Kundasang on Saturday evening and although we have internet connection by then, I still couldn’t go online since I need to do housework – bah, no helper nowadays kan, the weekends are the only time to do all the cleanings, washings and stuffs.

Then today, when I checked my email, I saw this in my mailbox :

The email was sent on 17th March. Aduiii… napa laa sa x chk email sa on dat day… I was still in KK until 10am last Friday! Masih sampat daitu mo claim my 3D/2N Equatorial Cameron Highland Getaway… huhu….

So, that barulah concludes my missed opportunity story… DOUBLE MISSED owh! Cis!

P.S : Later on, I found out that it’s only a discount voucher anyway, but still… *sigh*

My little bird stopped by to give us the news and here is what little bird has to say…

Haley Reinhart is in the bottom three – again. That’s 2 in a row..

Naima Adedapo is in the bottom three.

Karen Rodriguez is in the bottom three as well.

America decided that Haley & Naima should stay another week. Karen sang for The Save, but the judges decided not to use it.
