no offense, but i’m not that big on Malaysian Entertainment Industry. i barely know malaysian singers / actors especially newcomers. so, when i first got the invitation from Digi for the hi-tea with M’sian celebs., i was a bit hesitant to go. lagipun, i’m not the kind of person who’d go ga-ga everytime i see celebrities di mana2. like, there was this one time, a few yrs back, azli senario was sitting next to our table in burger king. i didnt even know he’s the senario guy until a few ppl came over to his table and ask for autograph & took pictures with him. and still, i didnt even care. i was like, kenapalah? and then last friday, i was at the KKIA’s KFC, waiting for jnr from KL. Mas (AF2), Nora (AF4 mangkali tu) & Candy (AF5) were sitting next to my table and i didnt even feel anything… the KFC punya staf bukan main lagi went to take picture all, but i just didnt feel the excitement to even say hi to them. btw, i think candy look pretty in person.

back to the hi-tea story, actually, i’ve already made up my mind that i will not go. lagipun, i got class on Sunday. but at the last minute, i changed my mind, decided to go, not to see the artists but for the goodies… bah, manalah tau they’ll be giving away free sim packs kaa…

so kami pigilah kunun…

when we arrived there (Shangri-La, KK), went to register, dapat goodies bag and were ushered to one of the ten tables. i was seated next to a very friendly indian lady. next to her was a big guy, who was also very friendly. he said he’s from papar, but he was speaking with west m’sian’s accent. at the buffet area, ppl sibuk taking photos with Saiful Apek. Apek is very funny. he looks & talks & even his gestures are exactly like what we see on tv. quite tall, and not that skinny la… di tv mcm so skinny, kan? i was like, makan dulu… pedulilah diorg.

while i was enjoying my food, the other ‘tablemates’ crita2 lah with this indian lady. and the indian lady was referring to herself as fara. she was like ‘fara sebenarnya kuat makan… tapi balik nanti mesti kena kontrol’, ‘fara workout d rumah jerr’… so i looked at her and no , i didnt know her.

i whispered to jnr, ‘artis ka ni? sapa ni?’ jnr lagilah tidak tau… at the buffet table, when i came back for the dessert, saw the ladies who were sitting at our table, so i asked them lah… they said she’s Fara Wahida the singer… kweng-kweng-kweng… oooooooo…. hehehehhhh… tia tau pun… hehehehhh… i’ve heard of her, but i dunno any of her songs… feel so silly oo at that time… lagipun, i thought Fara Wahida is Malay or maybe of Arabian descent… manalah sya expect dia Indian.

to cut the story short, i played a game and got myself extra goodies… confident lai kunun tu jawap ‘Fara Wahida’ when the mc asked me who she is …

since i was already there, and there were a lot of celebrities roaming around , why not take photo with them kan? feel all weird but alang2 sudah di sana

1st Fara Wahida, coz same table kan… jnr mcm happy betul bah, senyum sampai tutup mata



next up, ella & jojie… next table. gosh! i feel so FAT & UGLY between these 2 lovely ladies…



the handsome Zed Zaidi. he looks ok2 in magazine & on tv, but i tell u, very very very good looking… so handsome i tell u… i was like, punya main handsome….
*jaw dropped*



at 1st, i tot this girl was also one of the invited guest, turned out to be Mawar Berduri from the group Ahli Fikir… y’know, angguk-angguk geleng-geleng… she seems nice and friendly so, took pic with her also lah




and dayang nurfaizah… she was standing on the raised floor, so that’s why lah looked taller…

banyak lagi artis but immediately after the mc announced that the Hi-Tea is over, diorg pun terus hilang! e.g Apek, Yassin (the actor, not singer), Farid Kamil. Ruffedge also got but i dun really know those guys so, not excited to take photo. Amy Search also there, but i dun really feel like taking photo with him. who else ah?? emm… itu ja yg sya ingat la…

update on poslaju

well… i guess i was being a little over dramatic the other day… ya laa… i was angry kann… lagi pun, i’ve heard one too many stories about their not-so-good service and i just couldnt accept the fact that it happened to me too.

anyway… the seller of the items that i purchased helped me to contact poslaju helpline – y’know, the 1-300-dunno-what-else number. The helpline personnel ask me to go to the nearest poslaju office and tell them what happened. if the items were really lost, then i need to fill in some form and perhaps i could get some compensation.

so… the next day, i went to kk poslaju lah… there were three counters. on my turn, i showed the poslaju lady the torn envelope:-

me : kemarin, ini (showing her the envelope) sampai tapi ada dua barang hilang.
poslaju lady : barang apa tu aa?
me : baju… sweater

the poslaju man at the next counter suddenly interrupted

poslaju man (to poslaju lady) : yang warna merah tu mangkali…

my turn to interrupt

me : bukan, warna pink. satu warna pink satu warna biru
poslaju man : apa jenama?
me : DKNY

poslaju man (to poslaju lady) : *whispering* oo.. itu laitu… tempat si George.

hah??? i was like, who the hell is ‘si George’? ooo kana booking sudah ka?

so the lady asked me to wait for what seems like forever… and finally she came back with my pink DKNY sweater for girl age 4

but she seems to hv forgotten that there was one more missing item, so i reminded her..

me : yang satu lagi tu?
poslaju lady : oh, ada lagikah?

then she put both pink DKNY sweater for girl age 4 & the jeans along with the envelope on the weighing scale. then i saw her checking something on the poslaju sticker. baru pula sya tau, the weight of the package was actually written on it.

poslaju lady : mmm… oya kan… ada satu lagi… hmm… kenapa diorg tidak timbang dulu sebelum hantar tempat kamu aa?
me : *slowly* manaaaaalah sya tauuu….

huh! ask me pula?

ask me to wait again while she went looking for the other sweater and after about 5 minutes, she came back and said that they couldnt locate the item at that time, but assure me that they would keep looking and will call me when they found it.

my guess was that the other ‘george’ (the person who probably had the item) wasnt around.

the next day, as early as 8:30 a.m, poslaju called me and told me that they’ve found the sweater…

and that’s the end of my story.

case closed.

moral of the story :

if you ever have this kind of problem, the best thing to do is to go to their office. chances are, the items will still be there. dont ever think that they would do all the necessary checking for you; i.e check whether the weight of the items received matches the weight written on that piece of paper. and also, make sure the items is properly packaged – not in paper envelopes which can be easily torn. diorg tu main umban2 ja tu…

remember to claim your missing things… otherwise, after a certain period of time, those items will definitely and officially become george’s!

iTunes Runtime Error

i hv just installed iTunes in my pc, and for some unknown reason, i was getting runtime error when i open the program.

‘MS Visual C++ Runtime Error’ – ‘Runtime Error’
C:\Program files\itunes\itunes.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the support team for further assistance

at first, i thought the problem was caused by my pc so scanned it for viruses, found none.

finally, found a solution over the internet. probably old news but still helpful.

so… how do we fix it?

iTunes installation actually includes two more program; Quicktime and Apple Software Update. to fix the runtime problem, run the Apple Software Update. Click Yes to agree and software updates will be installed. and… that’s it! easy isn’t it?

POSLAJU S*CKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’M ANGRY!

STUPID POSLAJU!

last week, i purchased a few items (3 to be exact) from lelong.com.my (ya… lelong… i know…) but they were authentic branded items and most important of all, they are CHEAP!

i bought a pink DKNY sweater for girls age 4, jeans for girls age 4 & oshkosh knitted sweater for babies age 1. the oshkosh is actually bought by my colleague but we combined the purchase to save on shipping charges.

and i tell you, the pink DKNY sweater is very very very cute… RM40 only!

so, the seller send the item on 5 July 2007 but i only receive it today. yesterday, i was getting worried so i contacted the seller to provide me with the poslaju tracking number. check with poslaju track & trace, the status is kunun “out for delivery”. so i was like, never mind… maybe tomorrow sampai laitu…

and i was right, the item did arrive today and i didnt even check b4 i sign the delivery form. after the pos ppl left, then only i realized that something was amiss… the package looks thin and the envelope (yes… envelope ) was torn, but was patched back together by celotapes. cincai-cincai pula tu…

imagine my horror when i tore open the envelope and found only 1 jeans inside!

DAMNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH! TIDAKKKKK!!!!!

mimi : where is my pink DKNY sweater for girls age 4?

colleague : where is my blue oshkosh knitted sweater for babies age 1?
well, actually she’s on MC today, but i know she would say the same…

OI POSLAJU PPL! PLEASE RETURN MY PINK DKNY SWEATER FOR GIRLS AGE 4!!

PENCURI!!!! MALING!!!! THIEF!!! XIAOTOU!!!! MANANAKAU!!!!!!!

i dont even have the picture for that pink DKNY sweater for girls age 4.

but i know how it looks like and i swear if i ever see a girl wearing that pink DKNY sweater for girls age 4, i’ll go and slap the woman who’s holding the girl’s hand! i hv a strong feeling that the thief is a woman. i’ll box her face, wrestle her to the ground and stamp both my feet on her stupid head!!!
