i know this sounds corny but time flies so fast.

it feels like only yesterday i was at the kepayan/kobusak cross junction, having contraction 5 mins apart and still undecided on whether to go straight -[to take the angpow packet from my aunty’s hse] or to go right [to KK Specialist] 

but NO… that was 4 years ago!

yesterday was my Little Darling’s 4th Birthday….

since this year, her bday falls on a week day which also means school day, we decided that it would be fun to have her birthday at school… let her celebrate it with her friends…

Lately, i’ve noticed that my soon-to-be 2 yrs old son has developed a ‘passion’ for singing hehehehe…

usually he would only sing along to his favourite songs like Ruang Rindu by Letto, Higgly Town Heroes, Mickey Mouse Hot Dog song and Pink’s So What hehehe…

but yesterday, i caught him singing like this :-

Since everyone i know are changing their blog template for the new year, yours truly decided to join in the fun and end up with this simple one. i decided that this is my current favourite and i’m going to stick with it for a while.

still in the process of ‘renovating’ of course, so please forgive me for the mess. if your blog is not in my blogroll yet, don’t worry. it will be there in a few days time. if by February it is still not there, pls remind me ya…

i wanted to continue with the all the editings BUT i didnt realize it’s already past midnight – in fact, it;s already 1:00 a.m!!! no wonder i was soooo sleepy a few moments ago, but now i’m quite wide awake – but then again i had to go to sleep, otherwise, i’ll have to find another reason on why i’m late (again) tomorrow… damn! i’m tempted to take emergency leave tomorrow – oops! rephrased : later today – but i have just made another resolution kunun for the new year which is… to have at least 5 annual leave to bring fwd to next year!

ok peeps… time to hit the sack! btw, how do you like my new template???

well, this is just going to be a very very short update coz i kinda lazy to blog lately. as usual, i hv a lot to blog about, but i just couldnt put it into words so, i’d better save them for later – when my blogging mood returns.

i wanted to do a recap on what happened in 2008, but no mood to blog. will just tell u guys one thing. just before new year, on the 31st to be exact, went to the clinic coz i had trouble breathing since the night before. i also hv that wheezing sound and it is especially loud when i exhaled. the thought of asthma did cross my mind, but i tried to shrug it off, thinking that maybe it’s just because i hv too many phlegm in my throat. the visit to the doctor the next morning confirmed my worst fear – I have asthma. was put on the nebulizer for a good 15-20 minutes, which was very uncomfortable. doctor suggested that i should use the asthma spray, but i refused and choose the asthma pill instead. i just realized that the wheezing sound is totally gone today. yay for me! hopefully it wont return any time sooner.

now, on to my list to look forward to in 2009.

1. lose 11kg at least by end of feb 2009. Oya…. i dont mean to brag, but i have already lost 8 kg in 6 weeks, dropped from size XL to M, lost 10.5cm on my waist and lost 9cm on my thigh.

2. learn to put on make-up hehehe… Os! ko la tu kasi jangkit mineral pigment!

3. move to my small apartment

4. more money

itu ja la… not much, but enough to keep me bz for the whole 2009.

ok la… i said this will only be a short update kan? looks like long oredi.

bah, that’s it for now… i may not be updating this blog for a while tho… til then.. bye bye peeps!

Christmas is around the corner and for a few yrs now, i always thought that Christmas is not as fun as it used to be. this year, it’s going to be a lot worse than the previous years mainly because i won’t be going on leave during Christmas! Wondering why? well… i’ve used up all my annual leave and i only have 2 days left. i’ll be using 1 day next wk for my Me Time and i guess 1 day is for the 26th. Damn! Better make sure to plan my leave properly next year so that i won’t end up working during Christmas!

Sorry Bee, but I blame it on you! It’s all your fault that I’m now (truly, madly, deeply) in love with Edward Cullen! Would you like to know why? Bah, let me explain aa…

Since I finished reading The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch about two weeks ago, I was looking for good books to read next. Tried reading Nowhere to Run by Judy Westwater but it keeps reminding me of The Kitchen God’s Wife by Amy Tan. The story line is so similar I stop reading after a few chapters.

Bee’s blog is one of my daily doses and I noticed the books in her Recently Read section; the Twilight Saga – all 4 of them and i thought to myself, this book must be great, otherwise, Bee won’t waste her time reading all of them. I also heard in the radio that the Twilight movie is going to be released on November 21st. The news about the movie added to my curiousity so, I bought 2 of the books – Twilight and New Moon.

Since I don’t have much time to read, I only read 2 chapters at first. During the 1st 2 chaps, i thought it was quite boring. Then, I guess Bee saw that I was reading Twilight, she left a comment about it and ask me whether i found Edward Cullen a dream guy material. I couldn’t really answer at first coz i haven’t actually ‘seen’ the real Edward Cullen. I continued reading the book and i found that the story gets better and better. I’m beginning to see Edward the charmer, dazzling Bella in every ways. But after chap 4, i had to stop because it is weekdays and i had to go to work in the morning. Continued again on Saturday night and that’s when i got hooked with the book. I couldn’t put the book down and I only finished reading at 4:00 a.m! Btw, the book is very thick, almost 600 pages.

By the time I finished Twilight, I was so obsessed with it that I went and watched all the trailers available in youtube, going ‘ooh’ and ‘aaaahh’ at all the previews! couldn’t wait for the movie to be released. i even fell in love with the Bella’s Lullaby – well, i don’t really know if it’s the official lullaby, but most of the ‘youtubers’ said so.

Talking about the casts of Twilight (the movie of course), my personal opinion, some of them doesn’t really fit with the character. I have no problem with Bella, but for others, especially Edward (sorry Bee), Rosalie, Alice and Jasper, i was a bit disappointed. perhaps it’s to early to judge but I was hoping Edward would be a bit more muscular, with a darker [personality] and more mysterious personality. Rosalie should be more beautiful. but then again, i couldn’t think of anybody else better for those parts. Alice… i keep picturing Brea Grant (Daphne of Heroes) without the black hair when i was reading Twilight. I pictured Jasper to have a tougher look, but no, he looked soft. Doesn’t really look like he’s having trouble with his diet. Oh, but I like James! i think the character fit James perfectly!

Last night i started on New Moon. Bee suggested that I read Midnight Sun first, but I haven’t printed it yet. I read until 2:00 a.m but i was only up to chapter 15. I don’t want to stop, but it’s already monday and i have to go to work in 6 hrs time so, i cheated. I read the Epilogue and only by 2:30 a.m, i can sleep in peace.

For 2 days in a row, i slept at almost ‘twilight’ and I didn’t use a reading light i’m afraid i might woke the kids up. what i did was, i switched on the TV with the volume down and it was bright enough for me to read with ease. i know it’s not good for my eyes and if i keep doing that, i might need glasses very soon.

If i ever need glasses, I might consider buying them online. ZenniOptical.com sells eyeglasses online at a low price – as low as $8.00 per pair – and they shipped anywhere in the world. They had a wide range of lenses and frames for me to choose from. i already had an eye for one or two frames but i guess I don’t need them. Yet. When i first saw the price, i was a bit curious on why they are selling so cheap. Then i found out that they manufacture their own frames and sells them directly to customers. They actually saved on middlemen and advertising budget! Smart aren’t they?

There’s also an article from The Chicago Tribune that talks about why some glasses are sold at a very cheap price. It’s a very good and informative article.
