putting xavier to bed isn’t always easy. we had to rock him in the hammock while singing the ABC song and mind you, ABC song doesn’t always work. so we had to sing any other song yang sewaktu dengannya. after he fell asleep, we had to move him to the bed, otherwise he would try to turn and when he realize that he couldn’t, that’s when he will wake-up and wail like crazy.
so, last night, i was rocking him and had to sing a lot of kids’ songs coz the ABC was just not working. ellone sat by my side, singing along with me. there was this one song that goes
cicak cicak di dinding
diam diam merayap
datang seekor nyamuk
Ngap! Lalu ditangkap
i sang that one too, a few times…
and then i felt tired singing the song over and over again, decided to get creative heheh… but ellone didn’t let me

mimi : ooo… cicak cicak di dinding, diam diam ding ding ding
ellone : No bah mommy…. diam diam ‘MARAYAP’
mimi : diam diam ‘marayap’, datang se-e ding ding ding
ellone : Mommy NOOOO….
mimi : jadi how la?
ellone : mmm… datang itu nyamuk punya ekor
mimi : *trying so hard not to laugh* ooo… datang seekor nyamuk
ellone : *giggle* ekor??? Nyamuk got ekor kah???
mimi : tiada
ellone : so why mommy say ekor?
mimi : ya laa… because the song is already like that… datang seekor nyamuk, Nyap! lalu ding ding ding…
ellone : bukan bah mommyyyy……….. Nyap! lalu ditangkap!
